LAURA FRANCIS BURROUGHS (JON)

Agape House’s first married to graduate.

I went into the Agape House January 4, 2018. My husband was in jail, i had lost my kids, my house and i was broken and desperate for a change. The Lord laid a verse on my heart that i clung to. Isaiah 43:19-Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The Agape House was a safe haven for me and helped me develop my relationship with Christ. After some time in the program, I was able to get a job and save money. Along with that came a sense of purpose and worth that left me over the years of my addiction. Sunny told me about her wanting to open a mens facility for the husbands and i began to pray fervently. The Lord heard my cry and my husband was able to go through the program. The Lord has been so faithful. God has carried us through so much. We owe a great deal to the Agape House for allowing us both the opportunity to get help at the same time.

Today Laura has now graduated drug court successfully. She and her husband Jon serve as hosts and teachers of the Overcomers program at The Crossing of Paragould.
